  • Convocation : 13th August, 2017 10:30 AM

Instructions to the candidates

 

  • Complete registration at website to attend Convocation 2017 and pay registration fees online through Credit/Debit Card & Net Banking.
  • Reach Goa by 09.00 AM (Tentative) on 12th of August, 2017 to participate in dress rehearsal scheduled on 12th of August, 2017 at 4:00 PM (Tentative).
  • Get the registration kit from the Registration Counter by paying a security deposit of Rs.1100/- (Students are requested to tender exact amount to avoid unnecessary difficulties & delays at the counters).
  • The kit contains the following:
    • Convocation Programme
    • Lunch Coupon and information about the venue for official Lunch after Convocation on 13th of August 2017
    • CONVOCATION GOWN (TO BE COMPULSORILY RETURNED)
    • Seat number assigned to you
  • Assemble at BITS Auditorium sharp at 3:00 PM (Tentative) on 12th of August, 2017 for full dress rehearsal wearing your gown. Rehearsal is a must to attend the Convocation Proceedings.
  • On 13th of August, 2017, take the seat assigned to you in the Auditorium by 10:00 AM (Tentative).
  • When the academic procession enters the Convocation Hall, all assembled will rise and remain standing until the members forming the procession have taken their seats.
  • The candidate will go to the dais when he/she is called by the HOD, get the degree certificate and leave the dais to occupy his/her seat. Further directions will be given at the time of Rehearsal. The same way, the candidates will get their medals.
  • After award of medals, oath will be taken by the recipients of degrees. Recipients of degrees will stand and repeat the oath word by word.
  • After national anthem, Academic procession will depart. When the procession leaves the Convocation Hall, all assembled will rise and remain standing until the members forming the procession have left the hall.
  • Go to the Registration Counter, return your gown and get back the security deposit of Rs.1100/-.
  • Join for lunch at the place assigned to you after the ceremony.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

 

  1. Take your seat in the convocation hall by 10:00 AM (Tentative) positively.
  2. Due to security check reach the gate of the convocation hall early.
  3. No mobile phones and cameras are allowed into the convocation hall.
  4. Contact authorized photographers to get your photograph(s).
  5. Maintain sanctity of the occasion in the convocation hall.
  6. Students who have graduated in December 2016 and have already received their degree certificates are requested to bring their degree certificates with them for the convocation.
      • Kindly submit the degree to ARC after your registrations to collect them on stage.
