Instructions to the candidates

 

• Complete registration at website to attend Convocation 2022 by paying registration fees online through Credit/Debit Card & Net Banking.
• On the 10th of September, 2022 (Saturday):
  • Reach BITS Goa by 9:00 AM, to collect the registration kit in person from the Registration Counter (CC-Lobby) by paying a security deposit of ₹1000/- before 12 PM, so as to participate in the dress rehearsal scheduled at 3:30 PM.
  • The kit contains the following:
    • Convocation Programme
    • Lunch Coupon and information about the venue for the official Lunch after Convocation on the 11th of September 2022
    • Seat number assigned to you
    • CONVOCATION GOWN (TO BE COMPULSORILY RETURNED)
  • Students who have graduated in December 2021 and have already received their degree certificates are requested to bring their degree certificates with them for the convocation.
    • Kindly submit the degree to AUGSD (previously ARC) after your registrations to collect them on stage.
  • Assemble at BITS Auditorium sharp at 3:00 PM on 10th of September, 2022 for a full dress rehearsal wearing your gown. Rehearsal is a must to attend the main Convocation ceremony.
• On the 11th of September 2022 (Sunday):
  • Take the seat assigned to you in the Auditorium by 8:30 AM.
  • Due to security checks reach the gate of the convocation hall early.
  • No mobile phones and cameras are allowed into the convocation hall.
  • Maintain sanctity of the occasion in the convocation hall.
  • When the academic procession enters the Convocation Hall, all assembled will rise and remain standing until the members forming the procession have taken their seats.
  • The candidate will go to the dais when he/she is called by the HOD, get the degree certificate, and leave the dais to occupy his/her seat. Further directions will be given at the time of Rehearsal. In the same way, the medalists will get their medals.
  • After the award of medals, an oath will be taken by the recipients of degrees. Recipients of degrees will stand and repeat the oath word by word.
  • After the National anthem, the Academic procession will depart. When the procession leaves the Convocation Hall, all assembled will rise and remain standing until the members forming the procession have left the hall.
  • Go to the Registration Counter, return your gown and get back the security deposit of ₹1000/-.
  • Join for lunch at the place assigned to you after the ceremony.
  • Contact authorized photographers to get your photograph(s).
