Instructions to the candidates
- Complete registration at the website to attend Convocation 2023 by paying registration fees online through Credit/Debit Card & Net Banking/UPI. Once you have made the payment, you may register your parents/family members by directly making the payment through SBI collect portal.
- Accompanying person (Auditorium): ₹ 1200/- (auditorium entry plus special lunch after convocation). Number of the Guests accompanying each student is restricted to 2. Limited seats available on a first come first serve basis.
- Accompanying person (Lecture Theater): ₹ 750/-- (attend the convocation live streaming in Lecture theater plus special lunch after convocation).
- Be sure to check out the tutorial video located at the bottom of the page for further guidance.
- The registration link will be closed on 10-08-2023 (11:30 PM)
- On the spot registration will NOT be entertained.
On the 19th of August, 2023 (Saturday):
- Reach BITS Goa by 9:00 AM, to collect the registration kit in person from the Registration Counter (CC-Lobby) by paying a security deposit of ₹1200/-before 12 PM.
- Take the seat assigned to you in the Auditorium for dress rehearsal by 3:00 PM.
- The kit contains the following:
- Minute to Minute Programme
- Address by the Chief Guest
- Oath Card
- Memento
- AlmaConnectGift Box
- Lunch Coupon and information about the venue for the official Lunch after Convocation on the 20th of August 2023
- Seat number assigned to you
- CONVOCATION GOWN (TO BE COMPULSORILY RETURNED)
- Students who have graduated in December 2022 and have already received their degree certificates are requested to bring their degree certificates with them for the convocation.
- Kindly submit the degree to AUGSD (previously ARC) after your registrations to collect them on stage.
- Assemble at BITS Auditorium sharp at 3:00 PM on the 19th of August, 2023 for a full-dress rehearsal wearing your gown.
- You will not be allowed to go out before the completion of rehearsal.
- Only the registered graduating students will be allowed to enter the BITS auditorium
- You must participate in the rehearsal scheduled on August 19th, 2023 at 03:00 PM, failing which you will not be allowed to attend the ceremony on 20thAugust, 2023.
On the 20th of August 2023 (Sunday):
- Take the seat assigned to you in the Auditorium by 9:00 AM.
- Due to security checks reach the gate of the convocation hall early.
- No mobile phones and cameras are allowed into the convocation hall.
- Maintain sanctity of the occasion in the convocation hall.
- When the academic procession enters the Convocation Hall, all assembled will rise and remain standing until the members forming the procession have taken their seats.
- The candidate will go to the dais when he/she is called by the HOD, get the degree certificate, and leave the dais to occupy his/her seat. Further directions will be given at the time of Rehearsal. The medalists will receive the medals after all the degrees have been awarded.
- After the award of medals, an oath will be taken by the recipients of degrees. Recipients of degrees will stand and repeat the oath word by word.
- After the National anthem, the Academic procession will depart. When the procession leaves the Convocation Hall, all assembled will rise and remain standing until the members forming the procession have left the hall.
- Contact authorized photographers to get your photograph(s).
- NOBDY WILL BE ALLOWED TO GO OUT (for drinking water etc.) OF THE CONVOCATION HALL DURING CONVOCATION PROCEEDINGS
After the procession leaves the auditorium
- Proceed to the respective mess (as indicated on your lunch coupon) for the convocation lunch.
- Return your convocation gown at the same collection counter and obtain your ₹1200/-deposit.
- The counters will be functional from 2:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
